Collectible Investments in the Community!

I am very involved with a number of organizations that support the interests of children.  I have a passion for toys, but also for the idea  of childhood, and
enjoy helping children in many difficult circumstances to have better lives where possible.  I know that times are tough for everyone right now and it's hard
to decide how or if to spend your money.  Hard economic times hit families hard globally as well-many times hitting families the hardest that had absolutely
NO ROLE in the current global economic crisis.

Please read below the children's issues I care about!  In some cases, simply buying something you want anyway will help children somewhere in the world!  You
don't have to buy from Collectible Investments, though.  Visit the sites below and see if there's something you are passionate about as well.  When sales are
tight, I still contribute to the following organizations:

The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children supports children and families in shelters, halfway houses, food pantries, and more by providing age-appropriate
and engaging play spaces for children in tough circumstances.  Check the link below:

Collectible Investments supports The Super Jake Foundation to fight pediatric cancer.  I worked with Jake and still know his family, as well as other families
who have lost children to this truly evil cancer that strikes only young children.  The Super Jake Foundation is making progress toward treatment and cure.
This organization is very close to my heart.  Find out more at:

I participated in the Celebration of Hope at WCCC in South Barrington this past April.  This included a one week fast of rice, oatmeal and tap water (see the
photo of my diet for the week-YIKES, some children have to eat this all the time!)

I also helped pack meals for children in Zimbabwe-our group was able to pack enough meals to feed 67 children for an entire year!  In addition, we were able
to contribute to the funds paying for the meals as well as permanent water solutions for families in need.

FUTURES IN FUN!

Thank you for visiting Collectible Investments.  We have been in business since 1994, buying and
selling the things that made childhood fun, and make us feel young today.  We try to make the
items we sell family friendly, and hope that you'll find your collectibles to increase their value
over time-even if only sentimental value.

I am very careful to try to select vintage items for sale that are not mistreated, broken, or grossly
incomplete, but can only offer items as found.  I try not to buy broken items or pure junk at all.
Some loose or rare vintage items, however, may not be complete, and may not be mint or
gradable.  Loose items should be considered used and played with, and may have notable flaws.
Newer items may not be mint, but will be in store shelf condition (or better when possible).
Please view photos and contact me at
customerservice@megomike.com if you have any questions
before purchase.  I'm happy to answer any questions regarding condition or completeness (but
don't ask me to "grade" an item, please).  I'm hesitant to put a "grade" on items due to the
subjective nature of grading.

Most items are available for purchase on eBay using Paypal with a confirmed address.  Items may
also be purchased through this site, and may be available even if not currently being sold on
eBay.  Many customers are indicating they are not able or willing to use eBay or Paypal to
purchase items.  If you would like to purchase an item using a money order, you can request
payment information via email to:
customerservice@megomike.com.  International customers
without a confirmed address with Paypal should purchase items this way.

Prices quoted will include standard shipping.  Items will be shipped Standard USPS shipping, but
will be shipped Priority Mail if there is no difference in price.  Priority Mail may be requested for
any item, but buyer will be responsible for additional costs.  Insurance is recommended for all
items, and available on request at the cost of the buyer.  Multiple items may be discounted if
shipping together unless there is an increase in cost of shipping.

There is generally a handling time of 5 business days following receipt of payment.  Please
contact me before purchase if you need quick shipping as I typically only ship once per week.
International Shipping is charged and will be higher than the domestic rate.  Shipping to Canada
tends to be lower.  Please contact me ahead of time to check rates.

While eBay tends to be the safest method to purchase items, I am currently only able to accept
purchases through eBay to customers with confirmed addresses with Paypal.  Paypal payments
are not accepted to ship to an unconfirmed address.  Items may not be shipped to any location
other than the Confirmed Address used for purchase.

Collectible Investments does not offer refunds, but we want you to be happy with your item-after
all, that's the point!  Please view photos and contact me at
customerservice@megomike.com if
you have any questions before purchase.  Questions will be addressed within 24 hours on
weekdays when possible.
